Richard Farr Obituary

Farr, Richard Daniel Farr died from severe head trauma on May 30, 2001 as a result of an automobile accident. Richard was a loving and a most respectful son of his father and mother, Richard and Jo Anne. He was a loving and protective brother of his two sisters Jennifer Ann and Rebecca Jean and his brother John Spencer. He was the uncle of Rebecca's son Daniel. He was perceived by Daniel as model and protector. Richard was a superior athlete and participated in many sports, his true love however was surfing and surfing most closely personified his life. The freedom, the challenge, the stamina, the cavalier attack, always knowing there was another chance, another opportunity. His heart and his spirit were best evidenced by his love of giving and sharing, many time manifested in his arts, crafts and poetry of which he was the creator. Richard will be loved and missed forever. Vigil Service Wednesday 7 PM at the Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00 AM St. Monica Church 725 California Ave. Santa Monica. Interment to follow Holy Cross Cemetery Culver City. In lieu of flowers on behalf of his sister Rebecca, Richard would have wanted donations sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 6300 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 100 LA 90048 Attn: Tammy Smith. I love you Richie. Father in Heaven, pleading for Your mercy, that however it may be that in fact Your grace is upon Richie. Asking for forgiveness of all sin and that this prayer is accepted on behalf of Richie as the Bible tells us to pray for those who cannot pray for themselves. Thank you Father in Jesus name I pray Amen.. Amen. P.S. Richie, ask Jesus into your heart and ask for his forgiveness of your sins that He will be your Lord and Savior. I'm sorry I did not tell you this before. I simply just did not know enough.

My deepest regrets go out to the entire Farr family. We met only once, but I instantly liked your son and brother. He was that kind of guy.
