Sandra KAPLAN Obituary

KAPLAN, Sandra Brickman (Sandy) Aug. 13, 1936 - Nov. 23, 2011 Sandra Kaplan, 75, a resident of Marina del Rey, passed away on November 23rd at Cedars Sinai Hospital of complications of cancer. Sandra is survived by her husband, Martin Kaplan, sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Kent Ugoretz, son Larry Brickman, daughter Lynne Brickman, stepchildren Lizabeth Kaplan and Jonathan Kaplan, and granddaughter Chloe Kaplan. She is pre-deceased by her parents Sam and Anne Zetzel and brother Paul Zetzel. Sandra was a real estate agent on the Westside for the last 30 years. She was born in Boston and lived in Winthrop, Massachusetts until moving to Los Angeles with her parents and sister in 1952. Sandra lived a full and active life, enjoying many happy and fulfilling experiences with her family and her many good friends. She loved life, always upbeat and smiling. Sandra and Martin enjoyed dining, theatre, traveling and, most of all, their friends. Sandra will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park at 6001 Centinela Avenue, LA 90045 on Sunday, November 27th at 12:00pm.
