Stephen Waldman Obituary

June 1944 - January 5, 2019 Dr. Stephen Waldman, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and husband, was born in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up in Los Angeles. He was a student at Hamilton High School and continued his education at UCLA and UC Berkeley earning his undergraduate degree with a Bachelor's of Science in Physics. He continued his passion in the sciences and received his PhD from USC and his MD from UCI, and became a Neurologist. He started a successful neurology practice as well as established and co-directed the Stroke Center at St. Jude Hospital. Steve was also a Principal Investigator in many clinical research trials including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, dementia, and many others. He was well known and respected in the medical community. He was dedicated and extremely passionate regarding his patients and their care. He went above and beyond for all of his patients. Steve is survived by his wife Cindy of 47 years, 3 daughters, Jill, Wendy (Dmitry) and Melissa, and 6 grandchildren. He was a wonderful grandfather, a loving father and a dedicated husband. Steve will always be in our hearts and thoughts, he has touched so many people and enriched so many lives. He left us too soon, passing away after a very courageous and hard fought battle with brain cancer. We miss you, your smile, your presence and are thankful for the time we had with you and that we were able to be with you till the very end. Steve's memorial service will be held on 1/9/2019. My condolences. I did not know the Dr but came into his mother's artwork and was trying to followup with him and just learned of his passing this morning upon calling his office. May his memory always be a blessing.

My condolences to your family and you will be missed. I knew Stephen as a friend of his father Henry. Stephen was always a polite and soft spoken man and loved his family and especially his daughters. He had 3 intelligent and beautiful daughters. I have 4 daughters and my oldest met the Waldman girls when we visited their home.

I'm surprised to hear about, your passing and I want to wish my best and love to the Waldman family.

Rest in peace my friend.
