Liv I miss you very much. This is Jessie Eastland (Robert Eastland as you guys knew me). I heard of Tony's passing a few years ago, and have been trying to reach you. I am so sorry for your loss. Tony R.I.P.
I had a burglary at my home in the Springs, and every phone number was stolen with my briefcase. I've tried to find you but no luck. I found a blog that said you had moved back to Norway. When Tony was singing with Guy Finley they hired me to be their drummer and to recruit the band I was currently playing with back in the early 70's while signed to Motown as the first white act on that label.Bob Gaudio was our musical producer and I think we only did one gig together as I recall. The band consisted of: Me, Brandi Bento, Jamie Browning,Tony, Guy, and Steve March. We rehearsed at Guy's and Desi Arnaz, jr.'s home in Benedict Cyn. What a great time that was! We broke up after that gig, for typical band reason's, so I took a gig to Hawaii and lost contact in 1977 when I returned back to L.A. He was a good friend and I loved his stories of his childhood growing up in Bev. Hills.
He was very talented. I had no idea he lived so close to me out here in SCV and that he died last year. I am so so sorry to hear this. Now they are all gone. Cyd, Tony sr., and jr.
Liv, I hope you are doing well and would welcome a meeting with you one day. Right now I am convalescing at home from major cancer surgery.

I was devastated to learn of Tony's death last year. He was talented and a terrific person. I'm sorry we have been out of touch for a long time. But my feelings remain. I will remember the good times. I hope you are doing well and I offer my most sincere condolences.

Liv, my story is the same-I didnt realize that Tony jr. passed until ready his dad's obit today. I was actually hoping to catch up with him soon until I heard this.
Tony jr. and his wonderful parents moved in two doors down from us on Camino del Sur in the Alexander development in Palm Springs somewhere between 1959 and 1960. At the time I was 9-10 years old and he and Earl Palmer, Rick Canning and I all became great friends and had lots of fun together.I moved back to Sa Diego in 1965 and lost touch like most kids do when you move and are challenged by so many teenage issues. I loved his parents too-they were great. What a family bond demonstrated not only then but ever since. My heartfelt regrets on your loss and on the fact that I never got to reconnect. Hi, Liv: I was an old friend of Tony's decades ago, and was saddened to realize on reading his dad's obit today, that he had passed. I forwarded to news to mutual friends in the UK (we'd met him through Graham Chapman) who I am sure will be equally moved. Tony was a dear friend of mine in the 70's. I remember fondly when he and his parents sang at the Empire Room in Chicago, what an amazzzzzing voice he had, what a talent and what a wonderful man. My sincerest condolences to his family, so sorry to hear this tragic news. God bless him and his family...so sad.
