Heard Vince share at a conference. My mom knew his uncle Frank, who was very helpful to my family. I know this is rather odd that I share this now, however, I am celebrating 36 years this month. Heard Vince at a time when I was not doing so well, and he was a great source of comfort and inspiration.

My dearest Pat,
I always looked forward to hugging Vince on Wednesday nites and then Michael and I would start chatting with him while he rested his hand on my shoulder. I just loved that! Every conversation was a joke that led to another joke...the 3 of us would just laugh and laugh. I shall miss him dearly, but he'll always be in my heart, especially on Wednesday nites. Although I was only in LA for 8 years and that was 8 years ago, you both are a big part of my life and I am truly grateful. My most vivid memory is of Vince is his intensity while watching you talk in Encino. We had all heard you talk many times before and still he did not want to miss a word. Vince, one of the first Physician Assistants in the county, pushed me (basically yelled at me) to stop goofing around with my boyfriend and re-apply to PA school. Now I work with cancer patients. He talked about Pat constantly and is one of the best examples of a husband I have seen. Everytime I drive by a Baskin Robbins I'll think of you Vince! Thanks for you participation in my sobriety.

Vince, a beautiful, wise man.
Vince never lacked compassion. In fact, Vince was a gentle and loving soul. He helped me(and many others I suspect) to better understand myself and how to be responsible for my actions and to "grow up"

Dear Pat,
Bob and I were very sad to hear about VInce's passing away. I remeber going to finance class every Sunday in Pasadena, how warm and welcoming you and Vince were and how great it was that you opened your minds and home to us "financially challenged" individuals. Every day I think of Vince. His passing leaves me with a feeling of emptiness I don't understand. It is the first time I've felt such loss since my Dad's passing. I can not even imagine how you must feel. My heart goes out to you.

Before I ever even met Vince personally, he was a positive influence in my life, freely sharing his experience, strength and BIG, BIG HOPE. Just about every aspect of my life and experience are colored with things he did and said. Vince was a walking, talking example of someone I'd like to be. I never told him this but Vince reminded me of my father. Their stories were very similar. He was a force for good in a lot of people's lives including my own & will be missed. Now he is where the angels go.

Vince was a fearless of example of upholding the principles at all times in his life. He was not concerned with personalities, nor was his path focused on being a popularity contest. Which ironically made him such a compelling attraction. That along with his fierce commitment to the truth, and his graceful, loving and dignified relationship with Pat made him one of the great examples of principled living.

Pat, I never met your husband- but I had a copy of his talk at the 2005 Foothill Roundup. I have burned that CD for more people than I can count. His message is heard all over the country. We will never know how many people he touched. I am certainly one of them.

Vince was a fearless example of the principles in action. The principles of the path were always more important to him than the ascent of personal preferences or popularity. He didn't traffic in personalities because of his fierce commitment to the truth at all times. His gift as an extremely direct communicator and his courageous example in personal relationships will be missed greatly.
