Virginia Sharpe Obituary

Virginia Bain Sharpe, (Gini), (August 9, 1935 – September 24, 2022), lived a wonderful and deeply fulfilling life. A kind and selfless woman, she was a unifying figure among family and friends. She provided unconditional support, clarity, and honesty revered by all who crossed her path. She is survived by her loving husband, Norton of 55 years, and her four children, Lauren, Stephen, David, Amy, and her nine grandchildren, Jesse, Zoe, Ari, Samantha, Hannah, Brendan, Rachel, Sarah, Julia, and four great-grandchildren.
Together, Gini and Norton immersed themselves in the happiness of their children, imbuing them with integrity, loyalty, and compassion. Gini was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Harold and Helen Bain. As a young girl, Gini learned to fly her father's airplane and loved exploring the world from the sky above. Her inquisitive nature and free spirit led her to discover Judaism. She converted to Judaism with the support of her parents at the age of 18. Gini led an altruistic life, volunteering as a court advocate for children and at Jewish Family Services. She loved to travel the world with her family. She was a veracious reader, an avid golfer, and played Mahjong with her friends. She loved animals and inspired her children to love them too. She had a wonderful sense of humor and conveyed equanimity and empowerment to the people in her life.
The funeral service will be held at Hillside, Memorial Park on Thursday, September, 29 at 12:00.
