Arleen Size left this world peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Ever a Long Beach gal, Arleen was content to spend her last few years comfortably ensconced at Regency Palms Assisted Living on Pine Avenue in downtown Long Beach, not far from where she grew up. Arleen was an only child born to Clara and Oliver Size at San Pedro Hospital. Her father, career Navy, soon after moved the family across the "floating bridge" to a neighborhood right outside of Downtown.She was a member of the National Honor Society, graduating from Long Beach Poly High School.Arleen's long work career included Desmond's Department Store and Bank of America. Arleen became one of the initial employees when the Long Beach City Employees Federal Credit Union was formed and retired from a senior administration position. Arleen, a social person, enjoyed being a greeter at St Matthew Catholic Church for over 40 years. Parishioners enjoyed her holiday attire, sometimes being greeted in fanciful antlers, funny caps, and pins. Arleen is survived by her longtime friends.
