Jon Masterson

Jon left us, peacefully, from complications of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. He was at home with his loving family and a dedicated team of caregivers. A 4th generation Long Beach native, Jon was born at Seaside Hospital to Mildred and Mel Masterson. He attended Lowell Elementary School, Rogers Middle School and Wilson High School. He attended Oregon State University and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He was the President and CEO of Wallboard Tool Company for over 60 years. He believed in giving back to the community and served as president of the Foundation for the Long Beach Symphony, vice-president of Long Beach Kiwanis Club, and board member of the Long Beach Museum of Art and the Memorial Medical Center Foundation. Jon is survived by his wife, Margie, and their family: Laura Masterson and Eric Contey, Karen and Travis Taylor, Mary Masterson and Jan Hansson, Shae, Hank and Ainsley Taylor. He loved his family and his friends. He will be missed by all of us. No services are planned at this time.
