Megan Maynard January 21, 1988 - April 6, 2007 A memorial service to celebrate the life of Megan Maynard will be held on Sunday April 15th at 7:15 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 5450 Atherton St. in Long Beach. Megan will be loved, missed, and never forgotten by her family, siblings, and many, many dear and cherished friends whose lives she touched in her short life. Her joie de vivre and sp irit are captured in one of her journal excerpts: "Come what may, life goes on. Just live and breathe with all your heart...and listen..." In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Fulfillment Fund scholarship program in memory of Megan Maynard. This non-profit organization is dedicated to helping promising but disadvantaged students graduate from high school and achieve a college degree. Megan was the eighteenth person to die in the last five years at the Point Fermin cliff area in San Pedro.
