Barney Bickley

Barney Bickley, long-time Dona Ana farmer, died Saturday, December 18, at the age of 81. He was a former member of the EBID and SWIG board of directors and past beef superintendent of the El Paso Livestock Show. Barney was a life-long member of St Luke's Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, his parents S.B. and Agness Bickley, and brother Joe Bickley. He is survived by: daughters, Sherry Ellis and husband Mike, Roxy Woodward and husband Woody, Kimberly Blair and husband Gene; four grandchildren, Travis and Shannon Kriegel, Jesse and Liz Kriegel, Kari and Brian Clevenger, and Warren Ellis; and five great-grandchildren, David and Aidan Kriegel, Joaquin and Roman Kriegel, and Britton Clevenger. Barney will always be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends, his kind and generous heart and his strong faith. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 23 at 11:00 A.M. at St Luke's Episcopal Church in La Union. An Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of The Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008. Pallbearers are Woody Woodward, Mike Ellis, Gene Blair, Travis Kriegel, Jesse Kriegel, and Warren Ellis. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Moore, Noel Leal, Brian Clevenger, and Bobby Kuykendall.
