Benjamin Salcido Obituary
Benjamin Perez Salcido, well known as "Benjie" age 54, has suddenly passed in the family home and has gone to be with the Lord on June 9, 2021.
Benjie was born in Las Cruces and was a lifetime resident. He was very passionate about family and friends and was well known for making you laugh. He loved music so much and had great artistic abilities. Benjie was a highly skilled tree care employee with the Dona Ana County Tree Care Service for many years. He leaves behind many memories and tears. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Benjie is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Zamora Salcido; a daughter, Amber Nicole Trujillo with grandchildren Makaya, Jazmin, Amia, Daniel, Joe, and Ariana; a son, Brandon Angel Salcido with a granddaughter Brandie Angel Salcido; brothers Joe Salcido and Raymond Salcido (wife); sisters, Mary Ann Valenzuela, Martha Crespin, Gloria S. Hernandez, Teresa Salcido, and Lucy Valdez. He had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, and step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Bennie T. Salcido; his mother, Adelina P. Salcido; and his brother, Rudy P. Miranda.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home, 555 Amador, Las Cruces, NM. June 25, 2021, the family viewing is 5-6pm; public viewing is 6-7pm followed by a rosary mass at 7:00pm at La Paz-Graham's. June 26, 2021, a funeral mass is scheduled at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite St., Las Cruces, NM at 9:00am. Burial service will immediately follow at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Rd., Las Cruces, NM. Also, following the burial will be a reception at noon at Our Lady of Health Catholic Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Benjie's final expenses can be made directly to La Paz-Graham's.
Pall bearers will be Raymond Salcido, Rudy Miranda, Sandra Miranda, Arturo Valenzuela, Martin Salas, Justin Garcia, Sergio Ponce, and Jesus Alvarado.
