Gabriel Orona Zuniga

Born in Santo Tomas, N.M., to Jesus and Tomosa Orona Zuniga, on March 9, 1941. He attended Mesilla Elementary. He worked as a laborer in California and Las Cruces, N.M., until he became ill, then was a resident at Casa de Oro. He was a member of the catholic church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Felipe and Jose Tomas Zuniga, paternal & maternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his son Richard Zuniga (Sara), brothers Francisco Zuniga, Albino Zuniga, Isidro Zuniga (Irene) Jesus Zuniga, Jr. (Patsy), Nicolas Zuniga (Margaret) and Adolfo Zuniga, also sisters Ramona Avalos, Estella Soria (Lalo), many nieces and nephews, three aunts and one uncle.

Paul bearers will be : Richard Zuniga, Frankie Zuniga, Robert Escontrias, Julian Caro, Isidro Zuniga & Jerry Zuniga. Honorary pall bearers will be Phil Zuniga, Sylvia Trevizo, Ray Grajeda. Services are scheduled at the Basilica of San Albino on February 4, 2020, with a rosary to begin at 10:00 a.m., and mass immediately following the rosary with burial to follow at San Albino cemetery.
