Joseph Alejandrez

Joseph Alejandrez, 43, was born on May 16, 1970 in Long Beach, Calif. and passed away on May 21, 2013 in Albuquerque, N.M. after fighting a long illness. He loved his baseball. Liked to joke around. He also loved to help others. He enjoyed life. Loved to please whomever he was around. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, LA Dodgers, and the LA Lakers. His favorite sport: baseball. He was an excellent player all through high school. At the age of 10 he pitched a no hitter. He is loved by all his family and friends. He passed away peacefully, giving his last wishes to all his family. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Juanita; maternal grandparents Abe and Lupe Marquez; maternal grandfather Cleto; and his cousins Dominico, Boogaloo, Phillip, and Clarence. He is survived by his son Joseph, daughter Ashley and his grandson Eddie. He is also survived by paternal grandfather Manuel Alejandrez; maternal grandmother Mickey Vigil; his father Joe and Anthonette Alejandrez, his mother Chris Chamberlain; aunts Maria, Maggie, Irma and her husband Jack, Sylvia and her husband Mark; aunts Becky, Roberta and Jo Ann, Mary Lee, and Joanne. Also surviving him are his uncles Victor and Rita Alejandrez, Lonnie, John and his wife Hope, Joe Talamantes and Mary Lucero. His surviving siblings are Valerie, Santana and Abran Alejandrez, and Jessie Chambelain. He is also survived by his cousins Heather, Steven, Brian, Khrishanna, Isacc, Illiana, Eric, Marc, Cynthia, Victor and Daniel and their families; also his cousins Oliver, Hayden, Marina, Matthew, Belicia, Chris, Donnie, and Francisco. We want to give thanks to all family and friends for all your support and prayers in his time of sickness and passing and our time of grief. As per Joseph's request, in lieu of flowers if you so wish, plants only. As per his quote: "Flowers die, plants live on." A memorial service will be at the Elks Lodge, 3000 Elks Drive, Saturday, June 1 at 1 p.m. All those wishing to pay their respects are welcome.
