Dear Michelle and Family,
I was so terribly saddened to hear about Mark. We can never understand why such a wonderful man, father and husband are taken from us so soon. We can only trust that the Lord had a very special mission for Mark in heaven. My prayers are with you, your children, Trish and Mark's parents, that God will wrap you all in his arms and comfort you during this very difficult time.

Dearest Michelle and family,
I was so saddened to hear about Mark and his valiant fight to stay with his family. You were meant to be together for so much longer than this. We never know why such special people who come into our lives are called home so soon. Although we lost touch, both you and Mark always had a very special place in my heart. We had good times together. I do know that Mark is a beautiful soul, and perhaps God needed a very special Angel like Mark now. You are all in my prayers, May God comfort you and lead you through your sorrow.

I have been friends with Mark for 33 years. We grew up together and I have so many great memories of playing sports, video games, and watching cheesy horror movies with him and John Young. We were not able to spend a lot of time together the last years because of distance and schedules but when I saw him a few weeks ago, we hadn't missed a beat. He was a great baseball player and will always be "The Gun". I know how much he loved Michelle from day 1 and I know that there is a hard-throwing Angel watching over her and the kids. What I will miss most is Mark's signature smirk that will stay in my memory forever. I love you Brother and our Lives are a whole lot emptier.

Mark, you will always be our Superman. An inspiration to everyone, you fought so hard for so long & refused to give up. For that we are grateful, as it gave us more time with you. You were one of the best friends we could have and we will love and miss you forever.
