She is survived by her daughter Kala A. Steading of Austin, TX; mother Carol M. Johnson and husband Dennis of Las Cruces; father Floyd R. Lane and wife Susan of Las Cruces and by her sister Michaela Lane-Sanchez and husband Art of Las Cruces.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 07, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home.

Shawna was my best friend and I loved her very much! She was always there for me...no matter what! I am going to miss her beautiful smile, her nutty and fun loving personality and our time with each other. This world and my life are going to be a much lonelier place without her. I LOVE YOU MY DEAR FRIEND!!!!!
