Stanley Dimsha

1944 - 2018

Stanley Joe "Stan" Dimsha of Lovington, NM passed away on February 16, 2018 at the age of 73. Stan was born on July 12, 1944 in Hobbs, NM to Albert Joe and Ethyl Helen (Fisher) Dimsha. He grew up in Lovington and received his electrical engineering degree from NM State University in Las Cruces. He was owner and operator of Star Electric for many years. He told his wife, "Peggy Jean, I love you", every day of their marriage and she is grateful for the many adventures that they shared. He was an avid outdoorsman, passionate about hunting, fishing and exploring the sand dunes he knew so well from his childhood. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and the many friends that loved him.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Albert. Surviving him is his wife, Peggy Jean, his mother, Ethel; his two brothers, Alan and wife Marjorie and Richard and wife Denise. Two nephews: Mark and Phillip; nieces: Rebecca and Sarah and step-daughter: Amy and husband Jimmy Pope and their daughter Kynlee.
A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lea County Humane Society, 702 North Grimes, Hobbs, NM 88240 in memory of Stan.
