I was devastated to learn today of the loss of Suzi Jeffers. Suzi was a family friend, a mentor, and a source of inspiration. I babysat her kids when they were little and attended prom with Jesus. It was always such a joy to see Suzi and listen to her war stories. My deepest condolences to Nathan, Suzi's kids, and the Cox family. RIP Suzy Q.

I had the pleasure of cutting Suzis hair for many many years. And I remember when her journey began, but what I remember most is her spirit, her always loving her kids and grand kids soooo much and her always putting us all at such ease about her latest surgery or treatment as if she should have!! Every time she would leave the salon we would all be just blown away at her strength and faith. The main thing I remember was Suzi always telling me to remember her hair color because for 1. It was a beautiful color and 2. She loved her hair color!!! I wish Suzi I would have had the opportunity to have covered your grey hair but I know now you have that beautiful hair color forever!!! God bless all who love you in this time of sadness you are so fondly remembered.

Suzi, you are and will always be nestled in my heart. In my life you are the person who always reached out to everyone in the most selfless way. When you asked "how are you" and "is there anything I can do?" you listened and helped. I will always be inspired by your unconditional love, your caring and your faith in God and all of us. I know that you prayed for my Grandson as he, being just an infant, was about to have open heart surgery. And we were blessed with a miracle. Thank you for your prayers Suzi. I am blessed to have known you and worked beside you. I can only imagine what it would be like to be surrounded by God's glory as you are surrounded by his glory now. I love you Suzi.

I knew Suzi most of my life but only really began talking to her when we were all grown up with kids of our own. She was always so sweet and happy and showed kindness to my daughter Mackenzie one night at church when she was having a tough time and I always wanted to thank her for that. She was a very kind soul and God is lucky to have her there with him. Prayers to Nathan and the entire family.

Amazing, one of a kind.....does not seem to give Suzi justice. I saw Suzi at one of Yulissa's soccer games, Suzi had just returned from Houston following one of her numerous radiation treatments to her eye area. Suzi looked great with a huge smile holding a big red umbrella overhead. She said, thank goodness for pain medication! I proceeded to tell her that I was sorry that I have not done a good job with keeping in touch. Suzi immediately tried to let me off the hook by saying, it's hard Cyra, you work and have your family......I said, no excuses! She immediately changed the subject to express great concern for Dawnnell and her illness. Suzi began to cry, out of compassion and great empathy. The next day, I got a text from Suzi apologizing for crying and losing control. I was truly blown away.....I asked her if she was kidding?!? First, and only time Suzi had shed a tear in front of me, and out of concern for someone else! Truly awwww inspiring! Thank you Suzi for being an angel on earth and now our angel from above! My deepest sympathies to Nathan and entire Jeffers/Cox families.

My heart goes out to all of you in Suzi's family and to her school family at LCHS. I met Suzi when I started working with Special Education there over 2 years ago. Immediately Suzi was welcoming and helpful and always had a pot of coffee going in her office for everyone. She just radiated joy and fun, no matter what she was personally dealing with. She always told me that she was doing great and there were others dealing with much more. She was just so perky and helpful and I loved her immediately. I think her light will be shining on everyone as she loved to care for others. She was a true angel. Blessings to her family; she will truly be very missed, but I do believe that her spirit will live on in all she knew.

My heart is breaking for all of you, because Suzi was such a special and amazing person. I feel so fortunate to have had her as a good friend growing up. I have never known anyone who comes close to having a fun and loving spirit as that of Suzi's, and i know i never will. She was truly one of a kind. We had lost contact in the last several years, and I was not aware of Suzi's battle with cancer until recently. I tried to get a hold of her and was unable, but I had her in my prayers every day. I know she did not lose the battle, she finished the race and now has her crown. She did it. God bless you all, and I pray that you feel her with you every day.

My family and I were devastated about hearing this sad news on Monday April,7. Suzi was a great friend, and a great special education leader. I remember meeting for the first time, it was my first day of going to Las Cruces High, she was the first person i met and she explained to me what i would be facing in my high school time while being in special ed. She always told me to come to her if i had any issues with a class, homework, or of any kind, she would gladly help me. She motivated me and many students, special ed or not she loved her job that's what i liked about her. She always had a smile everyday and was cheerful every day. May she rest in peace and God bless her and her whole family! we love you SUZI!

Suzi was such a positive force at Las Cruces High School and a joy with whom to work. I have so many fond memories of her. I never imagined the vivacious Pom I coached would one day become a valued colleague working as my peer! I had a special relationship with Suzi, she was not only my sister in law but my sister by chance(cancer). She was always there to cheer me up on my bad days, one in particular was the day she insisted on coming over to teach me eyelashes and brows and made me laugh so hard and I learned the correct technique. I will miss her text messages checking on me every other day, shining her faith and bright bubbly personality my way. She inspired me to tackle this terrible disease head on.. I will miss her so much, she became a wonderful passionate caring friend. Milli and John and family iI'm so sorry for your loss.

I had a very special relationship with Suzi, sisters in cancer, she motivated me so much during the hard days. She came to my house on one particularly difficult day to teach me the art of applying eyebrows and eyelashes and she made me laugh so hard when I could have been crying. She checked on me every few days and always uplifted me in a way no one else could. I miss her so much but I will remember my eyelash day and smile with courage and determination to fight this damn disease . Suzi was so special I have been honored to have known her.

We just finally connected and I was thrilled to hear about her life! Sending lots of prayers to the entire family. I know she is smiling down on us all.

Dear Jeffers and Cox families, Dave and Linda Kinkaid have spent a couple of generations with both families with our son Chris Kinkaid and our son JR Kinkaid. We have laughed, loved and cried over our years of being together. Suzy was always a breath of fresh air and so funny that you could hardly stand up from laughing so hard. Dave had the opportunity to visit with Suzy on her travels to Houston. She always remained so positive and would spend most of the time asking about our family. We loved this girl and the rest of her extended families. We will not be able to attend the funeral, but we would love to catch up with any or all of you. We will always remember our sweet sweet suzy as we do ALL of you. We would love to hear from you and can be reached at 575-650-4417. I know she has found her friends and family in Heaven and will watch over her children and Nathan as she did for all of her life. We miss and love all of you.
