Valerie Azure Obituary

Valerie G. Azure, 51, of Las Cruces, went to be with our Father in heaven. Her calling came on Dec. 17, 2008. She was born Aug. 31, 1957. Valerie will be deeply missed by all her family and many friends who knew and loved her.
Valerie is survived by her mother, Marie Bernadette Garcia; brothers, David W., Christopher and Robert D. Azure, all of Las Cruces; and one sister, Victoria A. Soto, of Socorro, N.M. Also surviving her are many nieces, nephews and friends as well as her partner in life, Benjamin Acosta. Valerie is preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Azure, and by a sister, Vanessa Azure, of Albuquerque, N.M.
A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church with the Augustinian Recollects officiating.
