Vianney Romero-Serna Obituary

As the Heavens opened its gates this morning, a child appeared: as our Heavenly Father saw the heart of this child, He knew His angel had answered His calling; her name, Vianney Corazon Romero-Serna. The Lord promised all who believed in Him that the Kingdom of Heaven belonged to the children. Vianney was granted a very special place alongside our Heavenly Father.
Vianney was born Oct. 23, 2008, at 3:45 a.m. and answered her calling to be with our Lord and Savior on Oct. 23, 2008, at 4:15 a.m. Vianney was surrounded by family members as they celebrated her life and was kissed farewell by her older brother.
Vianney was the beloved child of Aracely Romero and Joseph Serna and a sister to her loving brother, Julian Jay Romero. She is survived by her maternal grandparents, Leroy Romero and Maribel Lozoya-Hernandez; and her paternal grandparents, Frank Serna Jr. and Rosemary Padilla; maternal great-grandparents, Natividad and Elva Lozoya and Barbara Romero; paternal great-grandparents Frank Serna Sr. and Lydia Ruybalid and Virginia Padilla; maternal great-great-grandmother, Pilar Ortiz Anchondo de Chavez; and her Grampo, Robert Jay Hernandez Sr. Other surviving relatives include her tias, Yesi Romero, Lucy and Missy Hernandez, Crystal Serna, Kandice Guzman and Alexandria Serna; as well as her tios, Beni and Joey Romero, and Sonny and Matthew Hernandez; and many other great-aunts, great-uncles and numerous cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Beni and Joel Romero. Honorary pallbearer is her loving brother, Julian Jay Romero. As he lays his sister to rest, he will always carry his love for her, making her presence among those left behind everlasting.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, with the Rev. Sean Garrity officiating.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden's Cemetery. Service arrangements have been entrusted to La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador Ave.; (575) 526-6891. To send condolences, log on to www.lapaz-grahams.com.
