Bradley Gerstner Obituary

Bradley S. Gerstner, Sr. LEBANON Bradley S. Gerstner, Sr., 35, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at his home. He was born in Lebanon on June 30, 1978, son of Michael, Sr., husband of Kathy Gerstner, Lebanon and Dorothy, wife of Edmund Arnick, Jr., Myerstown. He served with the U.S. Army. He was a former machine operator for Everlast Roofing. He was a 1996 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. Bradley loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. He had played softball with the Phantom Softball Team. His lifelong idol was Michael Jordan #23. In addition to parents, he is survived by children, Bradley Scott Gerstner, Jr., Jordan Michel Gerstner, Hailey Elizabeth Gerstner, Devin Dove, and their mother; and Bradley's companion of 11 years, Tonya Dove, all of Cleona. He is also survived by brother, Michael, Jr., husband of Doreen Gerstner, Myerstown; step sister, Kelly Glant, Lebanon; and grandmother, Rosemary Arnick, Frederick, Md. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Brad's funeral services on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon, PA 17042 (next to Quentin Circle), with the Rev. Fr. Job Foote, OSB officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, April 9, 2014, 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in Brad's name may be sent to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

I was so sad to hear of Brad's passing. I grew up with Brad at The Plaza and I will always remember him as "Boo",the little boy with the shaggy hair who loved to play basketball at the pavillion and the barn or baseball in the field and idolized his big brother Mike.
