Earl N. "Nick" Furman, 57, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Lebanon on June 7, 1959, he was the son of Earl V. Furman of Lebanon and the late Sallie Gerhart Furman. He was in the AC class of 1978. Nick worked as a Home Health Aide and was very compassionate in his work. He was just short of receiving his LPN through HACC. He was a member of the Jonestown U. M. Church and the Jonestown Lions Club. Nick enjoyed working in his yard, travelling, camping, hiking, cooking and he especially loved being a father.
In addition to his father, he is survived by daughter, Nicole B. Furman of Jonestown; sister, Penny A., wife of Joseph Litz of Indianapolis, IN; niece, Danielle Hynes; nephew, Will Litz; and great-nephews, Romeo, Anthony and Gio.
His funeral service will be held at the Jonestown United Methodist Church at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear about Nick. It's been many years since I last saw Nick and we parted ways as friends, but he has always remained in my heart and thoughts. He was always happy and optimistic about about life and people , such a gentle man. He was so generous with his time and quick to offer a helping hand. I am so happy to hear that he has a daughter now. I am sure that she was his whole world. He will be greatly missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very saddened to read about this. My father and Nick were very close friends many years ago, and had lost touch. My brother and I would hang out with Nick, our dad and other of their friends. He was always smiling and so pleasant. I recently thought of him, and sadly my search led me to find this news. My deepest condolences and prayers to the family and friends.
