Edward Fields Obituary

Edward J. Fields Edward J. Fields, 89, Lebanon died of natural causes, Saturday July 18, 2009 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Evelyn A. Whitman Fields, whom he married June 1941 and whom passed away July 1996. He was born in Lebanon son of the late Harry J. and Minnie M. Fessler Fields. He was a retired employee of the Bethlehem Steel Corp Lebanon Plant. He was an Army Veteran of WW2 having served with the 28th Division. He was a born again Christian. He was an avid golfer and player, playing as long as his health allowed. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and spending time with his dog Snowball. Serving are daughters: Donna Shutter, with whom he shared a home; Dorothy Ditzler, Lebanon; Vicki wife of William Byle, Lebanon; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was an only child but was greatly loved as a brother by his late wife's family. He was preceded in death by great grandsons: Calvin and Mitchell McConnell. Funeral services Wednesday July 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM, Rohland Funeral Home, Inc, 5th & Cumberland St, Lebanon where a viewing will be held Wednesday beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment Ebenezer "Greenwood" Cemetery.

It was my pleasure to take care of Edward. And also to get to know him and his daughter Donna. She took such wonderful care of him. And he was blessed for all she has done for him and so are we. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
