So sorry to hear about "Doc's" passing. I got to know him through trap shooting at the Palmyra and Manhiem clubs.
A great story teller. He told me his claim to fame was that he delivered Kerry Collins - pulling him out by his left arm thus explaining Kerry's prowess at quarterback!
I will miss his positive outlook, his hearty greetings, and his passion for life.

Dear Dody,

Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Doc was a great man and will be missed by Greg and I very much. We had some great times together cleaning the boats and talking about life. I admired Doc for being him. He did not care what people thought of him he was always so laid back and true to himself. And one thing I know for sure is he loved his family and was so proud to be a Dad and a grandpa, and most of all he loved Dody!!! He will be missed. Our love and prayers to you Dody and if you need us for anything please call (239) 659-9124
We love you,

To his wonderful family:
Dr Lape was a wonderful, understanding, compasionate OBGYN....at 16 he delivered my first child, lonely and scared..He made me feel worth something at that young age and explained, If this is what I wanted I could do it..2 more boys later(3 years apart) that he also delivered and rest assured all 3 boys turn out great...I owe this to Dr Lape and his understanding and helping me cope alone with his words of wisdom.......
My deepest sympathy to the family... he was an inspiration to me............Never to be forgotten when I look at my boys...oldest is 36 !!
My deepest sympathy to all who will miss him.....
