Jacqueline Bobal Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Jacqueline Jane Bobal, affectionately known as Jackie, who left us on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Bel Air, Md.

Born April 2, 1962, in Brookville, Jackie's zeal for life and her dedication to helping others shone through her work as a special education teacher for Harford County Public Schools.

Jackie's radiant spirit and infectious laughter were a beacon of joy for her family and friends. She was a loving daughter to George and Margret McCall, a caring sister to Keith McCall, and a devoted mother to her four sons, Brandon, Brenton, Alexander and Spencer. Her husband, Brian Bobal, predeceased her.

An ardent Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Jackie also found solace in the waves with Surfers Healing, reveling in the outdoors and the company of loved ones at the beach. Known for her loving nature, her humor, and selflessness, Jackie's legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jackie's life at the Evans Celebration Home, 3 Newport Drive, Forest Hill, Md., on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11 a.m.

Arrangements will be made in the future to be held in New Bethlehem, at Leatherwood Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Surfers Helping Our Children with Autism (SHOCA) by visiting www.mightycause.com/organization/Surfers-Helping-Our-Children-With-Autism.

I remember your mother for her fierce advocacy and strength. She made such a significant impression on me as a young mom of all boys as well. I looked up to her knowledge, experience and calm in the chaos of life as a boy mom.
We met on Tucker field so many moons ago. I will never forget how your family open their hearts, and homes to ours as your Dad was Ry and Ty´s first coach, getting our feet wet in the world of local rec youth sports .
We played football before we played anything else, and your parents made Brad and I, and the boys feel welcome in an environment that at times could be a bit overwhelming. Your dad was a force!
Your mom dedicated her life to improve experience of others. She cared about humans, and felt every child had potential and every child deserved the respect, opportunity and support to reach that true potential.
Even though our paths have not crossed in many years, I am better to have known her. Let the legacy of love and loyalty she leaves for you be a cheer and a challenge to continue to use your powers for good.
Ever grateful ,
Mary Stinar and the boys.

I had the privilege of being a Delta Gamma sister and friend of Jackie's. I have vivid memories of her smile and laugh. She was always up for fun and a joy to be around. Her spirit and memory will live one through the many people she touched.
