Kenneth McNaughton Obituary

Kenneth McNaughton, 74, of Butler passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024.

He was born in Madison Township in Rimersburg on May 24, 1950. He was the son of the late Richard and Maxine (Courson) McNaughton.

Kenneth went to Union High School before attending the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.

He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Indspec Chemical as an electrician.

Kenneth was known for always helping others, whether it was his family, friends or neighbors.

He was a loving grandfather.

He enjoyed baking pies and cookies to share with family and friends.

Kenneth enjoyed golfing, hunting and photography.

Kenneth was the beloved husband of Sharon (Harkins) McNaughton; father of Scott, Travis (Kelly) and Timothy (Anna) McNaughton; brother of James, Karl, Michael, Edward, Joseph, Richard, Frank, Keith and Dale McNaughton, Rita (Mike) Desanto and Lucretia (Shawn) Hollobaugh; grandfather of Jeremy, Brenna, Brooke, Hunter, Conner and Madison McNaughton.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Neal McNaughton.

All services were held privately through Spencer D. Geibel Funeral Home, located at 140 New Castle Road in Butler.

Fond memories of meeting up with Ken to play golf when we were in PA. If we were lucky, we were treated to some of Ken's tasty jerky! Will surely miss this kind, gentle man. My sincere condolences to all who knew Ken.

For decades I have known Ken, as a co-worker ( electrician), golfer, neighbor, and great friend. I am saddened by his passing and wish condolences for his family. I will miss his smiling face and gentle demeanor with a hole in my heart that can't be filled.

To my friend Ken... I want to thank you for being such a great pal. You always kept me laughing. You were truly what a good friend should be. I will never forget all the great times we had together.
