Richard Bowser Obituary

Richard "Dick" Eugene Bowser, 76, of Kittanning Township, died Monday, November 2, 2015, at his home.
Born December 5, 1938, in Huey, he was a son of Thomas and Lizzie Mae (Fair) Bowser.
Mr. Bowser served in the United States Navy for three and a half years, and retired from Allegheny Ludlum, where he worked as a fork truck driver and a grinder.
He married Shirley (Holben) Thompson Bowser and she survives.
He and his wife attended First Church of the Nazarene and Cornerstone Assembly of God, both in Kittanning.
Mr. Bowser enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, singing and watching baseball.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Richard Todd Bowser and his wife, Theresa, of Northampton; a stepson, David Thompson of Harrisburg; two stepdaughters, Sharon Rawson and her husband, John, of Clarion, and Tammy Kemery and her husband, Ron, of Rimersburg; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy June Gross of Ford City; and two sisters-in-law, Carole Bowser of Valencia, and Connie Bowser of Leechburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas A. Bowser and Perry Bowser; and a stepson, Dennis Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, in the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Bobbitt and the Rev. Mark Smith officiating
Interment will be in Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Porter Township.
