Steven Randall Obituary
Steven T. "Steve" Randall Monona/McFarland, WI -
Steven T. "Steve" Randall, age 68, of Monona and McFarland, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by family.
Steve was born on July 19, 1956, at Madison General Hospital, the son of Tracy and Dorothy (Pekowsky) Randall. He grew up in Monona and was proud to be part of the Monona Grove High School Class of 1975.
On August 5, 1978, he married Stacy Lee Widen at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison. Together, they raised a family and created a lifetime of memories.
Steve spent over 30 years in sales at Widen Enterprises, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of his coworkers and clients. But cars were always his greatest passion. He loved everything about them - buying, selling, fixing, and perfecting every detail. His garage was his sanctuary - spotless, organized, and always ready for the next project. He enjoyed a good meal, especially when he could help in the kitchen, but nothing beat a trip to Culver's. Steve also loved boating, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors - but above all, he loved being a dad and, later, a grandpa.
To his grandkids, he wasn't just Grandpa - he was Grandpa Bling. It was a nickname that fit him perfectly capturing his sparkle, humor, and heart. He adored his grandchildren, and they adored him right back.
Steve was truly a wonderful father - steadfast, loving, and endlessly supportive. No matter what his children pursued, he was always there, cheering them on with pride and unwavering belief in them. His love showed up in the little things - a helping hand in the garage, a quiet pep talk, or simply being there no matter what. The legacy he leaves behind is one of quiet strength, deep devotion, and a heart that always put family first.
He also built lasting bonds with his children's friends and extended family, making everyone feel welcome and part of the crew. We take comfort in knowing that Steve is now reunited with his beloved son, Andrew - likely in a garage somewhere, side by side, buffing cars and turning wrenches together. No doubt Steve brought along the tools Andrew had been waiting for.
Steve is survived by his children, Justin (Julie) Randall and Lindsey (Frank Anderson) Randall; his grandchildren, Ivy, Franko, Betty, and Ellsworth Anderson, and Weston and Maverick Randall; his sister, Teresa (Jeff) Kerznar; and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Dorothy Randall, and his son, Andrew Randall, who passed away on April 9, 2015.
A Celebration of Steve's Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stoughton Country Club. A private family burial will take place at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for the benefit of Steve's grandchildren's future education.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Steve's dear friends - Raquel Richards, Ellie Link, and Dave "Biz" Bisbee - Pastor Jeff Vanden Heuvel, and his incredible care team at Agrace Hospice, especially Brooke, Flo, and Erin, for their compassion and kindness.
The Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home in Baraboo is assisting the family.
