Cynthia M. Butler, 67, of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Sunday, May 12 at Cambridge Senior Living, in Eau Claire. Cindi is now with our Lord, welcomed to Heaven by those we love that passed before, free of any Earthly tribulations, in an eternal embrace and remembrance of our lives together.
On February 14, 1957, Cindi was born to Conrad and Judith (Froberg) Mazur in Milwaukee, WI.
She graduated from Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, IL, later graduating from St. Catherine College in St. Paul, MN, with a bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in accounting. It is there that she met Michael Pope in 1979. They had three children together by 1983, for whom Cindi was a very supportive and dedicated mother. Cindi held many jobs where she was known for her kindness, including as a teacher's aide so she could be closer to her children. She attended hundreds of football games and other athletic and musical events over the next 20 years, while her children were at home.
Cindi had many hobbies including dancing, coloring books, word & card games, and spending time with family. Cindi was kindhearted and very giving. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Cindi is survived by her parents; husband, Charles; sons, Nicholas (Rebecca) Pope, Matthew (Hannah) Pope, and Geoffrey Pope; grandchildren, Jack and Penelope; siblings, Michael (Kim) Mazur, Steve (Shoba) Mazur, Doug Mazur, and Greg (Stacey) Mazur; along with many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Cindi was preceded in death by two nieces, Jessica and Bethany Mazur.
The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St., Chippewa Falls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Katie Fund, St. Catherine University Institutional Advancement, Mail F-12, 2004 Randolph Ave., St. Paul MN 55105-1789.
