Jean Hagen

July 13, 1933 - September 13, 2025

Jean Hagen passed away at Lake Hallie Memory Care Chippewa Falls, WI on September 13, 2025 with family present. She was born July 13, 1933 in the Town of Drammen, Eau Claire to parents George and Mabel (Pederson) Isaacson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, rural Eleva.

She attended the Sheldon Valley State Graded School and graduated from Mondovi High School with the Class of 1951. She attended a summer course at Eau Claire Vocational School and was employed in Eau Claire at Nagel-Hart until she met her future husband, Edmund at Fournier's Ball Room in Eau Claire. He preceded her in death June 22, 2015. They began their married life together at the Hagen family farm in "Poor Valley" rural Modena, and here they raised their four children.

Jean enjoyed traveling with her husband on their Honda Cycle which included the West Coast, the hills and valleys of Buffalo County, national parks of the United States and Canada. Bus tours took them to Canada, New England States and Nova Scotia. With their pick-up and small camper they took two trips up the Alaskan Highway to Alaska.

Jean was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage and had the opportunity to visit Norway on two occasions. She was a Charter Member of the Sons of Norway Viking Lodge of Mondovi, Wi.

Christmas was not complete without Norwegian Baking and Lutefisk and Lefse! She was an avid bowler for 40 years at the Valley in Mondovi and later Club 10 in Durand.

Jean enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, especially the cardinals and hummingbirds.

Jean was an active member of Lyster Lutheran Church, WELCA, Rebecca Circle and the quilting group.

She is survived by her children: Pamela (Bob) Lewis, Eau Claire; Penny Hogan, Eau Claire: James (Kim) Hagen, Modena; and Lori (Larry) Dunham, Neillsville. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Chris (Laurie) Lewis, Jackson and Samuel; Brandon Lewis, Lucy and Charles; Trent (Luisa) Lewis; Andrew (Amber) Hagen, Mya and Grace; Kaleb (Marisa) Dunham,Tinley, Harlow, Valley, Juniper, and Lavena; Aaron Hagen, Oliver and Finnegan; Allison (Brady) Laufenberg, Kylie, Tripp and Nora; Amanda (Josh) Zimmerman, Taylor, Addalyn and Harper; Karalee (Nick) Zimmerman, Montee, Stella and Graham. Brother and sister in law: Darold (Arlene) Isaacson and sister in laws, Irene Isaacson and Jurdis Mann.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Edmund; brother, Gary Isaacson; great-grandson, Trey Zimmerman; Brother in laws, Marlin Hagen, Calvin Hagen, Vern Hagen, August Schreiner and Don Mann; Sister in laws, Alda Schreiner, Elaine (Vern) Hagen; Myrna (Calvin) Hagen, Beverly (Marlin) Hagen, and many relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Mondovi, WI on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
