Joseph Poplawski Obituary

Joseph John Poplawski, 62, of Spring Valley passed away Thursday, December 30, 2024 at Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation.

Joseph was born on December 16, 1962, to Richard and Irene (Hrouda) Poplawski, in Rice Lake, WI. Joseph grew up in Weyerhaeuser, WI, and graduated from Frederick Weyerhaeuser High School in 1982. Joseph earned his degree at the University of Stout in Menomonie, WI, and resided most of his adult life in Eau Claire, WI.

Joe loved his artwork and collectibles, and the Christmas season always had a special place in his heart.

Joseph is survived by his siblings; Lois Jacobsen, Richard Poplawski, Michael Poplawski, and Laurie Neverman.

He is preceded in death by his elder sister, Mary McGraw, and his parents, Irene and Richard.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 10 at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel with Jody Hagedorn officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. A burial will held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Weyerhaeuser, WI, on April 12 at 11 a.m. Family and friends may leave online condolences at smithfuneralec.com.
