Steven Tommy Oas, of Fall Creek, passed away on December 31, 2023, from cancer.
Steve was born April 18, 1948, to Rollin and Harriet Jane Oas of Elk Mound. He attended Elk Mound High School and University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, School of Medical Technology.
In 1968, he married Pamela Oas, and they had two children, Aaron and Theresa. In 1981, he married Paulette Thompson, and they had two children, Adam and Stephanie. After Spending a few years in Oshkosh, they made their home in the Fall Creek area. Throughout his working career, Steve worked in some form of healthcare service or sales, retiring in 2016.
He and Paulette and children all enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, boating, and ATVs. They, along with family or friends, took many trips to do all these things. They also spent a lot of time at their cabin.
All of his children and grandchildren were of special interest to him and he loved each and every one dearly. His family was very important to him. Additionally, Steve was a great friend and was always willing to lend a hand to help someone else.
Steve is survived by son, Aaron (Kelly) of Merrimac; daughter, Theresa (Don) Wideman of Verona; and Jessiann Coldwell of La Crescent, MN. Also, grandchildren Jennifer Wideman of Minneapolis, MN; Jessica Wideman of Fitchburg, WI; Colton Oas and Dylan Oas of Merrimac, WI; Corbin Oas and Knox Oas of La Crescent, MN; and Stella Kranig and Kallen Kranig of Fall Creek; brother, Craig (Connie) Oas of Altoona; sister-in-law, Melida (Dennis) Hansen of Kendall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; son, Adam; and daughter, Stephanie; and his wife, Paulette.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday January 20 at Chippewa Valley Cremation Services - Celebration of Life Center (1717 Devney Dr., Altoona). Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. with the service beginning at 1 p.m. Lunch to follow.
