She was born April 23, 1929, in Yatesboro to Samuel Donald and Jean (Burns) Enterline. Mrs. Shaffer had worked at PPG, as a lunchroom supervisor at Shannock Valley Elementary and at Season-All in Yatesboro. She was a long-standing member at Yatesboro Presbyterian Church. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed crocheting. She was greatly devoted to her family. Survivors include one son, Derek Shaffer and wife Emily of Monkton, Md.; two daughters, Deidre Shaffer of Philadelphia, and Kimberly Shaffer of Maple Glen; two grandchildren, Demi Shae Shaffer and Cheraden Johnson; one brother, Donald Enterline of Yatesboro; and three sisters, Doris Jean Maffei of Rural Valley, Ida Katherine Millikin of Yatesboro and Margaret Lou ?Peggy? Klodell of Louisville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nelson Ernest ?Ichabod? Shaffer Jr., who died Oct. 18, 1999; two brothers, Samuel and William Enterline; and one sister Mary Ann Lettie. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home Inc., 724 Main St., Rural Valley. Additional visitation will be held from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with her pastor, Mr. Ronald Long, officiating. Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery.
