Kelly Atherton Obituary

Kelly E. Atherton, Sr., 67, of Templeton, Pine Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at his residence.

He was born on March 8, 1951, to Kelly E., Sr. and Thelma (Bowser) Atherton in Kittanning.

Kelly worked as a hacker for Freeport Brick.

Kelly is survived by his son, Kelly E., Jr. (Valerie) Atherton, of Butler; daughter, Melissa Slagle, of Duncansville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Melinda M. (Baker) Atherton, who died April 7, 2013.

As per Kelly's wishes, all services will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St., Rural Valley. www.carsonboyer.com.

So sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. He was my supervisor at Keystone Power Plant. ( we worked for contractor, LWC) He was a good boss and a nice person. You all have my sympathy. May he rest in peace.
