Robert Joseph LaSitis

1936 - 2020

Robert Joseph LaSitis, 84, of West Kittanning, formerly of Worthington, died on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.

He was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Emporium, Pa., to the late Joseph and Goldie (Giles) La- Sitis and lived in Armstrong County since childhood.

Robert was a graduate of Worthington High School, class of 1954.

He was formerly employed by R. B. Shannon & Associates, Ray F. Young Co., Bracken Construction Company, and worked as a project manager for the PA Dept. of Transportation where he retired from in 2002.

Robert was a past member of the Worthington-West Franklin Volunteer Fire Dept.

He was a past instructor at the Armstrong Co. Fire School.

Robert was a member of the West Kittanning Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Armstrong County Fireman's Association. He was chairman of the West Kittanning Municipal Water Authority and also served as an Armstrong Youth Football board member.

Robert enjoyed taking care of his yard, woodworking, listening to country music, and being active in the community.

Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family.

Left behind to cherish his memory includes his wife, Donna S. LaSitis, of Kittanning; sons: Ted (Debra) La- Sitis, of Kittanning, and Tim (Rachel) LaSitis, of Kittanning; and grandchildren: Reed and Caroline LaSitis, of Kittanning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.

A private service will be held at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
