Roberta Minick Obituary

Roberta Lou "Bert" (McNutt) Minick, 81, of Williamsburg, Va., died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, in her home with her children by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Originally from Cowansville, she spent most of her adult life in Tidal, before moving to DuBois and then Williamsburg in 1993. She was a longtime member of Tidal Presbyterian Church and later Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, where she was an active Circle member. She spent several years at Andy's Pancake and Steakhouse, where she worked her way into the hearts of many locals. Bert was preceded in death by her husband, Royd Gray Minick; and stepdaughters, Lorna Minick Williams, Linda Minick and Nancy Minick. She is survived by a son, Royd Matthew Minick and his wife, Jill; a daughter, Beth Minick Morrison and her husband, Ron; a son, Ronald A. Minick and his wife, Rhonda; stepson, Earl (Dutch) Minick and his wife, Brenda; stepson, Merle (Butch) Minick and his wife, Bonnie; grandchildren, Casey Minick, Cody Minick and Jacob Minick; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, in Kittanning. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Tidal Presbyterian Church, with additional viewing one hour prior to the service, with the Rev. Joni Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Tidal Union Cemetery. The family requests any memorial donations be made to Tidal Union Cemetery, 117 Rimer Hill Road, Templeton, PA 16259.
