Columbus, Georgia- Betty J. Musson, 76, of Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Eastwood Baptist Church, 5051 Buena Vista Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Reverend Mike Heath officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907. A private interment will be held Monday, September 25, 2012 at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA. The family will greet friends this evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Musson was born January 20, 1936 in Chipley, FL, and graduated from Chipley High School, Class of 1951. She worked and retired after 18 years of service from Civil Service at Ft. Benning, GA, where she served at Sr. TRADDOC Clerk. Mrs. Musson was also a faithful member of Eastwood Baptist.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Musson was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clinton Musson, two sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Musson of Jacksonville, FL, and Mark Musson of Columbus, GA; one grandson, Kevin Musson of Newnan, GA; one great grandson, Raley Joseph Musson; three sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Musson to the building fund of Eastwood Baptist Church, 5051 Buena Vista Road, Columbus, GA, 31907.

Aunt Betty was a great lady. She and Uncle Sonny were some of the best Aunt and Uncles anyone could have. She will be sorely missed. My prayers are with you Mike and Mark. Lona Musson Orellana
