Columbus, GA- Ms. Bobbie Ann Duncan passed away Friday at Midtown Medical Center at the age of 64.
The daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Copeland Duncan, Ms. Duncan was born in Troy, AL and was a graduate of Charles Henderson High School. She was a devout member of Nazareth Baptist Church, and was a retired educator with the Muscogee County Head Start Program. She had also worked as a nurses aide at Martin Army Community Hospital. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Jennifel Cook, Sheila Austin and Bennie Copeland.
Survivors include: her beloved son, Vincent Duncan (Adela); three grandchildren, Jazmine Duncan, Chauncey Brownfield and Andrew Rodriguez; four brothers, Harry Copeland (Paz), David R. Duncan, Jerome Duncan (Valerie) and Phillip Maxwell (Octavia); seven sisters, Marilyn Ryder (Herbert), Sharon Scott, Myrtle Gore, Bronzella Heath (Anthony); Constance Duncan, Judy Brown (Derrick), Teresa Stringer; a sister-in-law, Mary Copeland; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Duncan will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 am.m at Nazareth Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Isome officiating. The interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation is today, 2 til 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may expressed at progressivefuneralhome.com. To the family may you find peace and comfort to know that you will see her again.cry if you must she has her wings now all the hurting is gone .I have known her since we lived across from each other in ecanty apt always with a smile when ever you saw her even when she would come to visit at cannan Baptist church.to constance its ok cry if you must but always remember the good times that you and bob shared together.heaven has a angel I thank jesus for the time that I got to know her rest on , janet and the bennefield family
