Midland, GA- Clarence C. deBrabant, Sr., 82, of Midland, GA died Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lix and Rev. Randall deBrabant officiating. A private interment will be held at Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mr. deBrabant was born June 29, 1929 in Midland, Georgia son of the late Joseph A. deBrabant, Sr. and Susie Smith deBrabant. He retired after 34 years with Wells Flav-O-Rich Dairy. He later worked for 9 years for the City of Columbus in the maintenance department. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he had also served as a Deacon.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, August, Eugene, Edward and Floyd deBrabant and sisters, Bessie Bettis and Delphine Smith.
Survivors include his wife Pearl Huff deBrabant of Midland, GA; sons, Clarence deBrabant, Jr. (Gerhild) of Midland, GA and Rev. Randall deBrabant (Melissa) of Valley Grande, AL; grandson, William deBrabant of Valley Grande, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd., Columbus, GA 31909 www.columbushospice.com
