Darlene Kay Gossett February 9, 1948 - December 24, 2010 CUSSETTA, GA— Darlene Kay Gossett, age 62, of Cusseta, GA, died peacefully at her home on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. A private family memorial service was held on Christmas Eve at her home. Mrs. Gossett was born February 9, 1948, in Dansville, New York, to Alvin J. and Eva Mae Lloyd Johnston. A homemaker, she was a mother to 5 children, a grandmother to 15 grandchildren, and a loving wife of 46 years. Coming from Ft. Benning, GA, she had been living in Cusseta for the past 20 years. She was Methodist by faith. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Don Gossett of Cusseta, GA; by two sons, James A. Gossett and Don W. Gossett, Jr.; by three daughters, Lisa Ann Harris, Genny Lynn Johnson, and Dawn Marie LaBlonc; by two brothers, Ricky Johnston and Jimmy Johnston; and by two sisters, Barbra Duval and Genine Wallace. 15 Grandchildren also survive. Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements

We met your mother just one time but it was a wonderful time and she was a special lady. Her kindness left an impact in our hearts. We are so glad we had the chance to meet her.
