David Parker Obituary

David Parker October 11, 1928 September 16, 2004 COLUMBUS, GA - David Parker, 75, of 1310 Regina Drive, Columbus, died Thursday, September 16 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, at the South Congregation of Jehovahs Witness, 2742 N. Lumpkin Road , with Brother Aaron Doleman, officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery according to People's Funeral Service of Columbus, Inc. 1604 Talbotton Road. Visitation will be today from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Parker was born October 11, 1928 in Lynchburg, S.C., son of the late Malakia and Verdia Samuels. He was the 11th of 12 children and is survived only by his sister Ida Boone. Mr. Parker was a retired maintenance Supervisor for West Central Georgia State Hospital. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Parker, both were faithful members of the Wynnton Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. He was a loving and devoted husband, and caring father to his six children. He leaves to cherish his memories Patricia (Albert Jr.) Thomas, Columbus, Emma McMillin, New York, N.Y., Betty Jasper, Blythe, Ga., Pamela Lee (Thomas) Willis, Dallas, Texas , Marvin Samuels , Sr., Camp Lejune, S.C., Elaine Samuels, San Francisco, Calif. , ten grand children, Albert Thomas III , Nikole Thomas-Weaver, Larry Lee, Deanna Lee, Loris Jasper, Jason Jasper, Simon Minor, Bisa Flemmings, Tahmal Flemmings and Marvin Samuels, Jr., and a host of great grandchildren ,other relatives and friends.
