Columbus, GA - Eddie Jerome Davis 64, of Columbus, GA passed Sunday, March 18, 2018 at St Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the chapel at Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 1605 3rd Avenue, Columbus with Pastor Donald Ray Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery according Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, Phone, 706-327-9293. Visitation will be today, Friday, March 23, 2018 from 1:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home. Jerome was born March 8, 1954 in Columbus, GA to the union of the late Henry and Margie Kegler Davis, Sr. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie Davis and Karl Evans. He was employed with Alatrade Foods in Phenix City, AL as a Packer. Jerome leaves to cherish his memories his son Steven(Johnyetta); Copeland; daughters, Tanisha Davis Watkins(Christopher) and Lakeisha Patrick; brothers, Henry Davis, Jr., Vincent Griffin and Michael Davis, Sr.(Anne); sisters, Verna Nail, Jacqueline Griffin, Debra Griffin all of Columbus, GA and Pamela Collier-Kandji(El Hadji), Brooklyn, NY; sixteen grandchildren; two aunts, Margaret Munford and Linda Weathers(David), both of Columbus, GA; one uncle, James Kegler(Virginia), Atlanta, GA; a stepson, Alfred Patrick; a stepdaughter, Sophia Patrick and a host of other loving relatives and many dear friends.

He left a positive impression on those he met. I am so sadden to read of his death! My heartfelt condolence goes to the family. Even though a man does not know his own time [Eccl 9:12], it is never easy to lose someone we love. Draw close to God in prayer. He will help you to endure your grief.

Jerome, my cousin was someone you would love to know because of his courage, pride and determination. Someone I respected. The last time I saw him was when he was doing construction work on the Civic Center. His usual joyous self and talked of working in Florida. Respected and a good person. My prayers and blessing to the family.
