Dear Fran, Ed, and Belk,
You all know that I love you...Your dad was a friend to me in a time of special need...and riding in his truck was a unique experience!...How he loved EVERYBODY and how everyone loved him!. He blessed my life, as each one of you have...May you find comfort in your wonderful memories of him and the life he lived. I hope I can still sing when I am eighty-three...He was kind and generous, and always so down to earth...I bless you all, in the name of Jesus...Sally Posey

Dear Ed and Family------I will always remember your Dad when last I saw him at Rose Hill. He was seated in the waiting room, and he sprung to his feet as my son and I approached, gave me his ready smile and shook my hand. He had the gift of praise and remembered my public service where we had bonded with letter carriers during that important chapter. He liked my commitment to "...always answer my mail." I called him friend, and he called me friend. His life and service were special and it is with respect and admiration that I say goodby with the confident assurance that we will meet again.

Mr Brooks was my Sunday School teacher, Royal Ambassadors leader, etc., and always a strong Christian member of the First Baptist Church in Buena Vista, GA. He was quite a role model for many of us. He helped make the world a better place. He loved his fishing too--seems like once he was chewing on some twigs when fishing and wound up with poison ivy of the mouth. Another time, when hunting doves, he fired and hit a dove and someone yelled "good shot". In SS the next day, he confessed, I was aming at the bird in the lead and hit the one following him. I suspect he is having have quite a reunion and probably already checking out the heavenly fishing holes. Fran, Ed, and Belk you were blessed with a fine father. You and the rest of the family, please accept my sympathies and may God bless and comfort you. Donnie Powell
