Dr. Edward Sidney Hyman treated me for "Gulf War Syndrome" and it made it so I have a better quality of life. He was a caring and loving person and will be deeply missed. Best thing to have even happened to me was meeting him. Thank you for everything.

Debbie and I were deeply saddened to hear today of Dr. Hyman's passing. Jean, our heartfelt sympathy is extended to you and your family.

As you know, words cannot express our gratitude to Dr. Hyman for saving Debbie's life in 1993 and the courage and persistence he exhibited while she was under his fine care from 1993 to 1999. Dr. Hyman was an extraordinary man who you and your family will forever be proud of.

As you may recall, our twins Bat Mitzvah was several weeks ago on Friday March 12th and Saturday March 13th. Several days before then, Debbie was in and out of the emergency room for three consecutive days, while we now know that Dr. Hyman was passing. As late as Wednesday night March 10th, it was quite uncertain as to whether Debbie would make the celebration. Since then I have been telling people that by divine intervention, Debbie recovered in a few days and made and enjoyed the celebration. What I did not know until today, is that Dr. Hyman not only took care of Debbie for so many years while he was with us, he also took care of her in his passing and made sure that she would be there for our twins on their most special day. This is the kind of man Dr. Hyman was and still is.
