We shall miss our friend and neighbor greatly-she always made us smile with a note or a phone call. We were honored to accept her request that we share our yard for the annual St. Paul Easter Egg Hunt. She had hosted it graciously until she felt that she needed to pass the torch. She was one of the remaining great generation of southern ladies-we are better for having known her. She left her family with a rich and colorful legacy, which will be a constant comfort in her earthly absence. The recollections of her life at the service were part of that legacy that we all got to enjoy hearing. Expressions of a life lived fully and with gratitude.
