Emelyn Florence Riles February 25, 1926- November 11, 2005 COLUMBUS, GA— Mrs. Emelyn Florence Riles, Age 79, resident of Columbus, died on Friday, November 11, 2005 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Monday, November 14, 2005, 2 P.M. with Rev. H.L. Sheppard officiating. Pallbearers will be Carl Thrasher, Gary Thrasher, Michael Hasson, Josh Riles, Brad Riles, and Edward Hill. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Mrs. Riles was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Columbus. She was also a member of the Church Eagles of The Church of Columbus. Mrs. Riles, daughter of William J. Baskin and Doria Lee Brooks Baskin, was born on February 25, 1926 in Barrow County, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Floyd Riles, Sr. Mrs. Riles is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Jean Hasson and her husband Russell E. of Columbus, Sandra Elaine Blizzard and her husband Neil of Kingsland, GA., and Tammy Gail Dudley and her husband Chuck of Phenix City; four sons, William Floyd Files, Jr. and his wife Mary Jo of Salem, Jerry Monroe RIles and his wife Janice of Salem, Jimmy Wayne Riles and his wife Lisa of Crawford, and Tony Ray Riles and his wife Vickie of Bleeker, AL.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
