The Maury family offers our most heartfelt condolences and God’s blessings to Uncle Joseph, Jeryl & family, the Murphy’s and other family members and friends, during this time off sorrow. Aunt Florence, a family jewel, is gone too soon and will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. May she rest in peace.

Florence Murphy Ray was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother (G-Mama), sister, daughter and aunt who was fully committed and devoted to her family. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and all who knew her. During her final weeks at home, she was able to communicate with me, her children, her grandchildren and other family members. I will always remember the sparkle in her eyes and the love she exhibited during these conversations. She will be greatly missed and our love for her will always continue.

Having Florence, my soft spoken sister-in-law, as a family member, friend and confidant for 30+ years was not quite long enough. She was an intelligent, thoughtful and family loving person who was so proud of Jayrl, KiKi and especially her grandchildren. She embraced her stepson, Michael, with love and kindness. My brother and she were in perfect sync, enjoying many loving activities together. I prayed that God would spare her, but his next mission for her was far more important and necessary...calling her home and giving her everlasting life!!! Both families and I will sincerely miss her but, I feel her presence every day...for I know that she is with God! RIP Florence! Much love to the Henton and Murphy families. May God bless and comfort Joseph, until they meet again.

Dearest Jaryl, KiKi, and Family,
Although Aunt Flo will be missed, I thank God for giving Aunt Flo her wings. Aunt Flo: a beautiful, family devoted, God-fearing, intelligent, and strong Black daughter, mother, sister, woman, and wife! May her loving spirit live on in all of us forever.
