George Hubbard Obituary

Dr. George Baker Hubbard Sr. September 3, 1912- October 15, 2005 JACKSON, TN— Memorial services for Baker Hubbard were at 10:00 AM on Tuesday October 18, 2005 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Paul Clayton and Rev. David Weatherly officiating. Family graveside services were at Ridgecrest Cemetery at 9:00 a.m. Dr. Hubbard died Saturday October 15, 2005 at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1912 in Princeton, KY the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allan George Hubbard. He was one of the founding physicians at the Jackson Clinic, which now has over one hundred eighty physicians and is spread out allover West TN He was a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons President and chairman of Southern Medical association President of the Tennessee medical association President of the Tennessee American College of Surgeons. He served in World War II as a lieutenant Colonel in charge of orthopedics for Southern Great Britain. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth four children George B. Hubbard Jr. MD a physician in Columbus, GA Bill Hubbard an attorney in Nashville, TN Al Hubbard Chief Economic advisor to President Bush in Washington, DC and Beth Hubbard a homemaker in Memphis, TN. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers to serve are all the staff members of the Jackson Clinic Memorial may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice. George A. Smith and Sons, North Chapel, 427-5555
