Columbus, Georgia- Mr. Homer Lee Robinson, 62, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at DeKalb Medical Center Hillendale in Lithonia, GA.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at St. James AME Church. Rev. Joseph Baker will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2017 from Noon until 6 PM, according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave. Columbus, GA.
Mr. Robinson was born December 17, 1954 in Columbus, GA. He was the son of the late Homer Lee Robinson, Jr. and Ida Mae Jones Robinson. He retired from the City of Columbus and previously worked at both Swift and Fieldcrest Mills. He was a member of the St. James AME Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Mae Word Robinson.
Survivors include: two sons, Vannoy Robinson and Wjuania Word; a daughter, Aisha (Cory) Smith; four brothers, Marion (Vonnet) Robinson, Marvin Robinson, Earl Robinson and Alton (Renee) Robinson; two sisters, Amelia (Bill) Smith and Shannon (Willie) Grooms; two grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
