Notasulga, Alabama - Mr. James Ford, Jr., 62, of Notasulga, AL passed Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Notasulga, GA. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Thursday, July 29, 2021 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Samuel Smith, officiating and Rev. Johnny B. Rutledge, eulogist. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. There will be no public view according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Ford was born October 19, 1958 in Columbus, GA to James Ford, Sr. and Dorothy Coppins Ford. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School, was a 1977 graduate of Mt. Olive High School, Columbus Technical College and served in the US Army. He was employed with Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System, Tuskegee, AL.
Survivors include her son, Jameson Ford; mother, Dorothy Ford; siblings, Patricia (Adam) Parkman, Mary (Alton) Belton, Theresa (Walter) Gilstrap, Kelvin (Carol) Ford; grandchildren, Jaliyah Poole, Jameson Shepherd and Harlem Ford; other relatives and friends.
