Columbus, GA- Mr. James Tyrone Wade of Columbus passed away Wednesday at his home. He was 58 years of age and resided at 5808 Valleybrook Road.
The son of the late John B. and Viola Jamerson Wade, Mr. Wade was born in Helen, WV on May 20, 1955. He w as a member of New Linwood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and was employed at First Presbyterian Church as the church custodian and the trusted security to "his little buddies". He was preceded in death by two siblings, Bruce W. Wade and Betty J. Wade, and a nephew, Charles H. Wade, Jr.
Survivors include: a step daughter, Elexif Hemrick; two brothers, Charles H. Wade, Sr. (Tessie) and William T. Wade, Sr.; nieces and a nephew, Aitnyc M. Wade, Pamela U. Wade and William T. Wade, Jr.; a special friend, Josephine Hollis; his First Presbyterian family, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Wade will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm, First Presbyterian Church, 1100 First Avenue with interment in Evergreen Memory Park. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm at the church on Wednesday. The cortege will depart from the residence at 1:30 pm the day of the service. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc. "A Touch of Dignity for Those Who Care."
